A lovely primary school in Camden are seeking a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1 to 1 basis


The Role


In this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will be supporting a range of children with Special Needs across EYFS and KS1.

The children's needs include Autism and ADHD, learning and behavioural.

There will be a focus on communication and interaction, regulation, sensory development as well as supporting the children to access whole class/school activities.

The school are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant with the following:

  • SEND experience
  • working with children with SEMH/behavioural needs, Autism
  • A Confident and calm approach who is able to remain regulated when a child is dysregulated
  • The ability to support children to coregulate
  • Positive/safe handling training e.g. Team Teach
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure i.e. to adapt in the moment
  • Experience of working with EYFS/KS1 age children (47)
  • Clear communicator
This role is offered on a full-time contract basis from ASAP - July 2024
