Nursery Apprentice

We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to work alongside our staff members in our home from home nursery in Shrubend, Colchester.

Our Nursery as a whole offers care for children from birth-5 years, and also age 5years-11years in our breakfast club, afterschool club and holiday club.

The successful applicant will complete their Level 2 (or L3 depending on current qualification) in childcare through an apprentice programme with VTS.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone wanting a future career in childcare, with on the job training. You will have the support of the management team and experienced staff members during this time.

The hours for this job are 30 hours per week. The nursery is open from 7am-6.30pm so applicants must be able to work between these hours.

Planning stimulating activities to help the children in your care thrive and learn

*Supporting both the room leader,other practitioners and the continuous improvement of the setting

*Keeping children safe and promoting their wellbeing

*Being part of a team

Adhering to all the policies and procedures of the setting
A Passion in childcare

*Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and external agencies

*Completing a qualification in childcare, alongside working 30 hours per week
