Do you have what it takes to be a Security Officer with SGS working in a Data Centre?

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Security Officer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis at a Data Centre on the Slough Trading Estate.

Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts 07:00-19:00 & 19:00-07:00, 4 on 4 off shift rotation

MUST be able to work both day and night shift

The role is to provide security services at the Data Centre ensuring compliance, access and egress is performed with the upmost professionalism and vigilance.

Protecting the customer's employees, property and other assets in line with the Assignment Instructions and site-specific customer requirements.

Please note that you will be required to work with access control, CCTV systems with a good knowledge of the Microsoft programmes such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

The role of a Security Officer within a Data Centre can be challenging, especially when you are required to be consistent and polite at all times.

To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a front-line current SIA Licence.

Although demanding, a Security Officer role with SGS will allow you to demonstrate your exemplary customer service skills as you engage with customers, clients and visitor.

You will also be providing health and safety support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.

You will be ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Essential Skills

To be available to work days, nights and weekends
Must hold a valid frontline SIA Licence.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Must be over 1
Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, selfemployment or full and parttime education during that period.
No current criminal convictions.

To work with us you will need to be confident, articulate and communicate well both orally and in written language.

Desirable Skills

Security experience
Computer literate i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent customer service skills
