We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Co-ordinator to join us here at Culpitt, working closely with employees and managers across our four sites in the North East and North West.


Reporting into the Head of HR, the HR Co-ordinator will support the delivery of HR service across the business from an administrative perspective as well as supporting with ad hoc project work.

Established in 1921, Culpitt has been supplying cake decorations and associated products for over 100 years. We are based in Ashington and are the UK's leading wholesaler of sugar crafting equipment and edibles.


Skills, knowledge & experience:


We are looking for someone who has previous HR experience in a Co-ordinator level role or is an experienced HR Administrator looking to step up to the next level. You will have a structured approach to your work, be well organised and able to co-ordinate a wide range of tasks concurrently. You will be pro-active and able to use your initiative. You will be an effective communicator and comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders from senior managers to shop floor colleagues. You must have a full valid driving licence and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The role of HR Co-ordinator has responsibility for:

  • Co-ordinating administrative activities for the department including contracts and new starter paperwork.
  • Managing all initial requests and enquiries for the department.
  • Liaising with managers in relation to all administrative tasks and responding to basic HR queries.
  • Updating and maintaining the HR system.
  • Updating policies and procedures in line with best practice and legislative changes.
  • Working in close collaboration with the wider HR team to ensure a seamless delivery of HR service across our four sites.
  • Maintaining HR files in all formats in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Managing absence and leavers from an administrative perspective.
  • Contributing to monthly reports and collating all necessary information to support payroll processing (weekly and monthly paid employees).
  • Preparation of management data.
  • Coordinating annual HR activities such as renewal of private healthcare cover, company closure dates, holidays etc.
  • Opportunity to participate in project work and develop HR skills and experience.
Desirable - Level 3 CIPD / Certificate in Personnel Practice / working towards this qualification.


Salary:
£25,000 - £27,000 per annum depending on experience.
