We are looking for an experienced Band 6 ODP to join our friendly and dynamic anaesthetic team working at Kettering General Hospital.


As an ODP at KGH we cover a wide range of specialities including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Breast, ENT, and Maxillo-Facial surgery along with an out of hours emergency service.


As a senior ODP within our theatre department you will get to provide advanced clinical support in the Operating Theatres, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Teams and Accident and Emergency Department.


You will participate in 24-hour rota (day and night duties, weekends, and bank holidays), and extended service cover as required to support the Trauma, Emergency & Obstetric services, we are a family friendly department able to support flexible working opportunities.

The post holder will be a clearly identifiable senior clinical staff member and team leader.

They will have significant clinical experience, provide sound clinical expertise to their team and coordinate, and deliver high quality care.

They will be a role model for expert clinical care and lead on specific projects/management functions as delegated by the Theatre Lead.

To provide advanced clinical support in the Operating Theatres, ITU, KGH Emergency Teams and KGH A&E.

This will be achieved by assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care for patients undergoing theatre procedures or requiring specialist critical care.
