Description

The role of the lA is to represent the HTA in an independent capacity in order to satisfy the requirements of the HT Act.

To do this, IAs must interview the donor (or person giving consent on their behalf) and the recipient, to ascertain if the requirements of the HT Act have been met.

They must then complete and submit a report to the HTA, detailing whether the requirements have been met, and provide a recommendation regarding the donation (that is, whether the donation should be approved or not approved by the HTA).

The HTA will then make a decision about a case based on the information provided by the lA.
