Sales and Business Development Executive


This Sales and Business Development role is working within our niche sector, providing lighting and control products for use in hazardous - explosive EX (ATEX) areas, serving industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing and steel production.


Ideally based in the South West, you will cover the area of South Wales, across to the East Coast, and the Midlands down, but primarily focused on the industrial areas of the south.


Using your experience of selling into hazardous area clients, including wholesalers and direct customers, you will have technical knowledge of lighting, LED and fluorescent luminaire, to offer either bespoke or standard options, supported by a highly experienced design engineering team to take the project forwards.


You will drive sales via existing customers and further develop market opportunities and distributor relationships, using your Sales and Business Development experience, and energetic personality, not being afraid to 'go and find answers' to grow business, have a continuous pipeline in place, and achieve targets.


With a proven track record of Business Development and Sales in hazardous environments, your interpersonal, communication and presenting skills are key, as well as strong organisational and prioritisation skills, good IT knowledge including Microsoft Office programs (Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) will be used to not only bring new business in, but to see projects from inception to on-site delivery and hand over.
