Are you a passionate advocate for sustainability and community empowerment? Join us at Edinburgh and the Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC) as a Chinese Community Link Officer.

Your role will focus on fostering environmental awareness and engagement within the Chinese community of Edinburgh.

Funded by:
National Lottery Climate Action Fund


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead workshops and events on climate change and waste reduction.
  • Coordinate recycling trips, repair workshops, sewing club sessions, and swap shop events.
  • Cultivate partnerships, engage volunteers, and drive community cohesion.
  • Generate social media content showcasing project impact.

Requirements:


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative mindset and selfmotivated.
  • Experience with community engagement, preferably within Chinese communities.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese, with translation abilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency.
