FINANCE OFFICER

Office Location:
Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK


Hours of Work: 8.30am - 5.00pm / 9.00am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

We're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a global business offering excellent benefits and progression opportunities.


The role

  • Full day to day responsibility for the purchase ledger (to include staff expenses)
  • Check invoices and enter on ledger and process through automated approval system
- prepare weekly BACS payments

  • Check staff expenses and provide advice/assistance as required
  • Monitor team shared mailbox
  • Support with payroll to include inputting new starter/leaver information to payroll software (payroll is managed by other members of the team)
  • Post monthend journals in ledger
  • Support to Sales Ledger e.g. in preparation of sales invoices
  • Cover for rest of team
  • Adhoc tasks for manager

The requirements

Desirable:


  • AAT qualified or partqualified
  • Very good excel skills
  • Experience of SAGE 200

Essential:


  • Experience of a finance function
  • Proactive approach and ability to manage own workload
- tact, demonstrate understanding of confidentiality and discretion
