Description

Reporting to the Sports Trading Manager, the Junior Sports Trader role provides crucial support to the Sports team as well as a consistently excellent level of service to our customers.

Junior Sports Traders will receive comprehensive training in Metric's trading practices as well as a valuable education in the wider betting industry.


Responsibilities:


  • This role will be responsible for fulfilling the daily operational tasks within the Sports set up, whilst trading Golf SuperLive and Outrights live as well as undertaking support roles to assist other traders & departments when necessary.


  • Admin

  • Carry out vital daily admin duties in the Back Office
    to ensure delivery of Metric's product to all partners. Assist Traders by creating and resulting events, settling bets and bet queries from our customers


  • Client Risk

  • Comfortable with Risk procedures, Bet Ticker/Noting/SF recommendations. Liaising with Risk Manager
  • Liability Control and Price Management
  • Perform checks on liabilities and alert traders of significant or unusual positions. Monitor market and betting activity, escalating any pricing concerns


  • Customer Support

  • Communicate with third party suppliers on any service issues & provide answers to a variety of sportsbook and golf queries in real time.
  • Report issues and provide accurate information to relevant parties & help investigations with relevant teams


  • Live Issue Management

  • Reporting of live issues. Communicate any issues in real time to TDM and/or product owners, resolving issues where possible


  • Content Management

  • Manage Sportsbook content ensuring all events are displayed correctly and available to customers.
  • Liaise with our US team In Las Vegas with high level of communication ensuring smooth handovers
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and testing of new products and systems.

Knowledge, skills and experience:


  • Passionate/Keen interest in a variety of sports
  • Exceptional numerical ability, preferably with a degree in a mathematical discipline
  • Can demonstrate a basic understanding of bookmaking principles
  • Ability to work flexibly including weekends, evenings and bank holidays is essential
  • Collaborative and a real team player

Office Policy:


We are currently operating a hybrid working policy that will require traders to be able to attend the office in Aldgate, London, as required by the business.
