My Camden based client is seeking for an experienced Food Safety Officer to join their fast paced team on a full time basis of 36 hours a week Monday-Friday.


Duties include:


  • Preparing and serving Statutory Notices and taking enforcement action in line with the Council's strategy and departmental enforcement policies
  • Reporting and/or advising where statutory action is not appropriate and to initiate prosecutions for failure to comply with statutory instruments where appropriate
  • Consulting/negotiating with developers, landlords, contractors, business and other clients as appropriate, to ensure progress of casework
  • Carrying out site visits, surveys, inspections and to attending Public Inquiries, courts of law, and tribunals
  • Preparing priced specifications, giving advice and checking legal notices drafted by more junior colleagues

Requirements:


  • BSc/MSc OR Diploma in Environmental Health
  • Hold competency requirements of Food Law Code of Practice for Authorise Officer with recent experience carrying out inspections and up to date training and accreditation for role requirements
