This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development Trainer to join our fast growing business.


As a Technical Trainer you will be responsible for developing the competence of Trinity Claims employees by participating in the development, delivery and evaluation of learning and development events, with particular reference to induction, mandatory technical and soft skills training and continues professional development training initiatives.


  • Work alongside the L&D Manager with business leaders to obtain training requirements and to turn these into informative and interesting modules of training
  • Develop, and deliver training in both technical and soft service areas
  • Deliver induction, mandatory technical and soft skills training in an adaptive way to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Offer coaching, mentoring and other support to help learners achieve knowledge and skills
  • Evaluate success of training courses and materials used to identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by liaising with Auditors and Line Managers to identify skill gaps and developing personal development plans to employees accordingly.
  • Keep attendance and achievement records of employees.
  • Liaise with external training providers as and when business requires.
  • Work flexibly in delivery according to changing business needs.
  • Undertake any individual or team task or activity reasonably requested and in line with the company values.
  • Embrace technology alongside traditional methods of training / development
  • Keep L&D and industry related knowledge up to date.

To be successful, you will need to have:

  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Innate ability to vary approach and style as required to achieve best results
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise workload to maximise effort according to business needs

Experience / knowledge

  • Have an understanding of how to deliver training and coaching
  • Ideally experience of working in an insurance environment but not essential
  • Knowledge of the insurance claims process advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft programmes in particular Powerpoint
  • Must be comfortable in an ever changing "market disruptive" driven business.
