BASE:

Summary

One to One Enfield has been established for 32 years to provide support, promote independence and improve health and well-being for autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities across Enfield.

We have an enthusiastic group of members able to enjoy a range of activities with the aims of improving mental and physical health, improving social interaction, ensuring their safety, enabling awareness of broader support they can access across the benefits system and overall allowing them to get the very most out of life.

The autistic and learning disability community can and do offer great value to the local economy and society. If we collectively support them to thrive, they will in turn support themselves. At the present time we have a very small volunteer workforce in addition to our small salaried team. Many of the volunteers have lived experience and contribute to the effective running of the charity.

One-to-One recognises the huge role played by volunteers and wish to extend the number of volunteering opportunities we can offer.

Within One-to-One we aim to increase the number of people engaged in volunteering and to improve the quality of volunteering and the range of activities offered.

To achieve this, we require a lead individual to actively recruit and support our volunteers.

This will enable the Charity to move forward providing more facilities for Autistic adults and adults with a learning difficulty in the borough.

We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual person with excellent interpersonal skills to work with us 8 hours a week over 2 days.
