As Junior Product Technologist you will provide day-to-day support to the Quality team to help them manage the critical activities required in support of the development of Loaf products. Managing the ad hoc reporting and data collation to ensure the relevant information is available for use by the Quality team in pursuit of product compliance, development & improvement.

Some of what the job involves

:


  • Tracking & chasing in test reports, and certifications, collating & reporting back to the Lead Technologist where required.
  • Maintaining accurate and relevant data, to deliver safe, legal and the best quality products, escalating issues that impact the product development & approval process.
  • Coordinating the process for inbound QC and returning items inspections at the warehouses and Wincanton distribution centres.
  • Coordinating the process & paper trail to support the resolution of complaints and issues.
  • Uses return reporting and insight to highlight product issues and carries out deep dive analysis to understand root causes to support the Lead Technologists.
  • Surveillance & due diligence testing managing any product testing & admin, and where required collating outcomes into a report.
  • Requesting testing quotes and testing from test labs and keeping track of any budget spend.
  • Keeping internal technical information & documentation up to date.
  • Supporting the Lead Technologists & Product Development Team in product sign off sessions. Preparing samples, running supplier & product information, recording & documenting product comments and sharing information & feedback with suppliers where appropriate.
  • Supporting the CX team by providing information to resolve customer complaints & queries and escalating any serious issues.
  • Checking and approving labelling, assembly instructions and care guides where appropriate.
  • Providing ad hoc support to the wider Product function where required.

  • Obsessed with beautiful homewares and fabric and enthuses others about great quality products (with fantastic specifications)
  • Experience in a fastpaced environment where delivery of tasks on time is critical to success
  • A high level of computer literacy is required and the ability to learn and implement new systems and processes
  • Able to analyse and extract meaningful insight and conclusions from data.
  • Ability to work independently managing time effectively and delivering to deadlines
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to work to a high level of accuracy
  • Comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
