If you are passionate about hydrology and environmental science, the Hydro-JULES Intern Programme is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience and collaborate with our team of Hydro-JULES scientists.


The Projects;- Project - Understanding the influence of the North Atlantic on European river flows Project - Characterising sub-seasonal to seasonal variability in extreme thunderstorms over India Project - Assessing the performance of new Impact-based Flood Forecasting tools (Forecasting Verification Scientist) Project - Quantifying water and carbon intensities of UK food and bioenergy production systems Project - Exploring the use of satellite observations to improve wetland inundation modelling- A full overview and requirements for each project can be found- here.- Ready to Apply? We just a couple of things from you;- A covering letter outlining your motivation for joining the programme and specifying the project(s) you're interested in, along with reasons for your choice A brief CV detailing your educational background, professional experience, and any publications you may have A letter of support from your supervisor, tutor, director of studies, or equivalent, confirming their approval for you to undertake the proposed summer internshipTo be eligible you will- Currently be full-time at a university (from 2nd year undergraduate level upwards or pursuing a Master's degree) and intend to return to university after the placement. Hold the right to live and work in the UK throughout the placement duration. Studying a degree relevant to the field. Comfortable working independently with strong communication and interpersonal skills Act as a strong team player, comfortable both giving and receiving feedback openly.
