A bit about the role
:

Homes England's Strategy, Research, Analysis and Sponsorship (SRAS) Unit sits at the heart of the Agency.

It's colleagues play a central role in setting the strategic direction of the agency; advising senior leaders - including Board and ELT; developing new cross-agency delivery strategies; supporting the delivery of specific housing and regeneration schemes; undertaking critical research, economic analysis and evaluation of our programmes; and ensuring the Agency has strong relationships with the HMG, Parliament and the market.


The Assistant Director of Strategy role is a varied one and we're looking for someone to provide high quality leadership and management support to the Strategy Team and wider Strategy, Research, Analysis and Sponsorship Unit ensuring delivery of agreed objectives, the maintenance of a high quality working culture, and ongoing talent management.

You'll be working closely with the Chief Economist and Head of Market Engagement to identify, research and propose Agency responses to new or emerging issues and trends in the Built Environment as well as leading the co-ordination of Homes England's preparations for all Fiscal Events - including forthcoming preparations for a new Government.

You will have experience delivering high quality outputs in ambiguous environments and political situations, providing direction and clarity for team members.

The role requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong and effective external relationships with key external stakeholders and partners - engaging and influencing at senior levels.
