    Job Title: Senior Commercial Manager – Retail

    We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Manager to lead our Shell Egg commercial division. This critical role involves driving growth, enhancing brand equity, and optimising profitability across all retail channels.

    You'll be responsible for leveraging market insights, customer relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable commercial success.

    About Us:

    Stonegate Farmers Ltd is an integrated free range and organic egg business with three divisions: farming and agriculture, egg packing, and cooked egg processing. We've grown significantly since 2016 and are one of the largest free-range and organic egg producers in the UK.

    We work closely with major retailers, including Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco, and M&S, and have a strong presence in the chilled products market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a customer-centric shell egg strategy across major UK retail accounts.
    • BUILD STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS with key retail customers and internal stakeholders.
    • IDENTIFY AND CAPITALISE ON NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES within existing and potential customer portfolios.
    • LEAD COMMERICAL NEGOTIATIONS to ensure alignment with wider business objectives.
    • OVERSEE THE EXECUTION OF NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS and seasonal range changes at the customer level.
    • CHAMPION THE VISIBILITY, AVAILABILITY, AND ACCESSIBILITY of Stonegate products across all relevant retail platforms.
    • MANAGE, MENTOR, AND DEVELOP the commercial sales team to build capability and ensure high performance.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Proven track record of leading commercial functions within own-label and branded food manufacturing.
    • Strong experience working with major UK retailers, particularly Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco, and M&S.
    • A proven ability to lead complex negotiations and deliver sustainable value and margin improvement.
    • A minimum of 2 years in a senior commercial role within a comparable FMCG or fresh food environment.
