Description

Our pharmacy department is searching for an outstanding individual to join the team. We have an advanced electronic prescribing system to offer top-notch pharmaceutical care with a focus on Medicines Optimisation.

The role involves collaboration with a diverse team including Pharmacy Technicians, Assistants, Pharmacists, Nurses, and Clerical staff. Responsibilities include Medicines Optimisation at ward level, contributing to patient care, and working within the stores department to enhance Dispensary skills.

Key responsibilities also include undertaking general pharmaceutical duties under supervision, providing medicines optimisation services, dispensing prescriptions, and assisting in the management of ward stock levels.

The ideal candidate is expected to undergo training to obtain a QCF level 2 in Pharmacy services if not already possessed.

All Pharmacy staff must ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice and department procedures.

  • Able to handle heavy lifting and pushing/pulling as part of the pharmacy stores team.
  • Utilize the Pharmacy IT system for dispensing medication, preparing compliance aids, and tracking prescriptions.
  • Assess drugs, manage prescription tracking, and provide support to ensure timely completion.
  • Independently deliver admission, supply, and discharge services to designated wards, collaborating with healthcare professionals.
