**Area Sales Manager
Mansfield area
Permanent

Salary - negotiable + commission uncapped**Hales Group are working with our client who are a manufacturer and distributor based around the UK, this role will be based at their site near Mansfield.

They have an exciting opportunity for someone to join them as an Area Sales Manager to promote productsand services to dealers and distributors within the UK and Ireland.

This role will entail a fair amount of travel covering a vast distance to gain new business and maintain relationships with existing clients.

(All expenses paid and a company car will be provided)


Key responsibilities

  • Have an extensive knowledge of the company, its aims, objectives and its strategic direction
  • Maintain existing sales and achieve sales growth of company products through new business development initiatives
  • Demonstrate excellent technical/product knowledge of the company's products
  • Support existing customers by keeping regular contact with them, ensuring they are updated with developments, their needs are catered for and opportunities identified to maximise business with them
  • Increase business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Collect customer feedback and carry out dealer specific research and market research
  • Research the market and related products, gathering market and customer information
  • Keep up to date with products and competitors
  • Promote the company and its products on Linked-In/ Twitter and keeping up to date with latest industry trends
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Be prepared to make overnight stays to effectively manage the sales appointments
  • Review own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed departmental KPIs using company CRM

Skills and experience

  • Previous sales experience with the ability and desire to sell
  • Be target driven, organised and maintain a meticulous indepth knowledge of products and services provided
  • Have the analytical skills to identify customer needs and propose solutions of benefit to the customer
  • Excellent customer service skills, being wellspoken and articulate with a professional telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills, being highly computer literate with good knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes
  • Excellent level of numeracy
  • A positive, confident and determined approach
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
  • A high degree of selfmotivation and ambition
  • The skills to work both independently and as part of a team
  • The capability to flourish in a competitive environment
  • The ability to demonstrate knowledge, skills, good judgement and integrity
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
