Description

Twizzle Tops Day Nursery has as opening for an evening cleaning.

The job is Monday to Friday from 5.00pm to 8.00pm; it requires lone working with key holder responsibility.

Cleaning experience preferred but not necessary.

References and a DBS/police check required, the DBS will be arranged by the nursery.

Job Description for a nursery cleaner

The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the manager to maintain a safe and clean environment.

The key role would be to maintain the cleanliness of the nursery to a very high standard.

This would include:

The vacuuming of rooms and corridors and emptying all waste bins
Cleaning the glass and mirrors
Dusting and removing cobwebs
Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces
Cleaning the nappy change rooms and toilets
Clean areas as assigned
Clean behind large objects
Clean Skirting
Ensure that rooms are odour free
Ensure all other jobs on the weekly cleaning rota are carried out
Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person
Keep your cleaning area and space clean and tidy at all time and your cleaning materials safely stored
Maintain polite and good communication with your colleagues at all times
Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required
To carry out any other duties deemed necessary by the management
To ensure the building is shut down at the end of the shift
