Project Officer (Levelling Up) to join the team.


Location:
Braintree, Essex


Salary:
£32,230 - £35,750pa pro rata


Job Type: 2 year fixed term contract, part time


Project Officer - The Role:


An exciting opportunity has arisen based in the Housing and Communities team here at Braintree District Council for a part time Levelling Up Project Officer working 21 hours a week.

This role is offered on a 2 year fixed term contract.


Both nationally and locally Levelling Up our communities has become a key priority for government and here at Braintree District Council we have used our share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to invest heavily in our communities and businesses across thedistrict.


Project Officer - The deliverables which the Levelling Up Project Officer will support are:

  • Building relationships with a wide range of partners
  • Engaging with our communities, local businesses, and managing our partnerships
  • Helping to develop a green skills and training programme
  • Delivering a grant funding programme for community infrastructure
  • Working with the community to bring underused green spaces back into use
  • Overseeing and monitoring data returns
  • Delivering projects within agreed timescales, scope, budget
  • Managing a budget and making payments in a timely manner

Project Officer - You:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to be able to support multiple community led projects and ensure that they are meeting their agreed outcomes.

There will be extensive partnership working,with organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors as well as working with communities directly, so you would need to possess strong networking, influencing and negotiation skills.
