The Vacancy:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced professional HR Consultant to join our busy Consultancy Team providing a high-quality service to schools/Academies and Multi Academy Trusts.


Key tasks and responsibilities:

Working as part of a small team, reporting to the Team Manager, providing advice, guidance and support to schools on a full range of employment matters and progressing casework (e.g. conduct, capability, grievance, absence management, redundancy and workforce reorganisation), to deliver a consultancy service which meets defined standards and business needs. Alongside this, some design/delivery of training to school leaders and policy writing/updating.


Essential Skills and Attributes:


  • Proven experience of working in a HR role and advising on casework across a range of complex HR issues.
  • Previous experience of working in a HR environment in Education would be beneficial, however this is not essential.
  • Achieved, or be actively studying, for Graduate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or equivalent.
  • Must be willing and able occasionally to work in the evening.
  • A flexible and resilient approach to work.
  • A personal commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Within the HR School's Team there may be a requirement for some annual leave to be taken during periods of school closure.
  • The ability to drive and use of a car is essential.
