An opportunity has arisen at CMGSltd for a Vehicle Fitter/ Coach Builder to join our team. The vehicle fitter will be based in our brand new 10000sqft unit in the Elmstead Market area of Colchester.

Hours: 08:00am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 08:00 to 13:00 Plus Overtime at time and a half.

The Vehicle fitter /Coachbuilder will be carrying out duties involving modifying vehicles, building, assembling and fitting various bespoke assemblies parts and components to the vehicles.

The Vehicle fitter /Coachbuilder role will involve drilling, cutting, riveting, bolting and screwing components and parts including steel, aluminium, plastics, GRP and wood materials.

You would use hand tools and basic cutting machinery to modify and alter the vehicles and parts.

Some of the work is carried out on new vehicle chassis and a very high standard of finish is required.

Previous expertise and a background and work history with vehicles and or related qualifications like City & Guilds in Coachbuilding or vehicle mechanics or an equivalent qualification would be ideal for this role.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, demonstrating the ability to follow procedures accurately and respond promptly to the changing demands of a production based working environment
