Are you passionate about maintaining clean, vibrant communities? Lynn Recruitment invites you to join the Belfast City Council team as a General Operative in Duncrue.

Your Duties:

Waste Collection and Street Cleansing:

Safely collect and transport waste from domestic, commercial, and priority areas to designated sites.
Ensure proper waste segregation for safe disposal, contributing to recycling initiatives.
Conduct inspections to identify and address recycling contamination issues, educating occupants when necessary.
Collaborate on promotional activities to encourage public participation in recycling efforts.
Maintenance and Enhancement:
Perform cleansing activities, including street washing, graffiti and gum removal, and ensuring public spaces meet cleanliness standards.
Contribute to seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow clearance, gritting, leaf sweeping, and waste distribution.

General Duties:

Maintain cleanliness in and around facilities, performing cleaning, litter removal, and equipment movement.
Utilise communication tools for effective team collaboration and respond to maintenance needs promptly.
Collect and maintain necessary records and reports, including incident documentation and vandalism reports.

Your Profile:

Demonstrated ability to work in diverse weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Strong communication skills for public interaction and team collaboration.
Adherence to safety protocols and willingness to engage in training activities.
Compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of customer care.

Your Benefits:

Salary: £12.38 per hour.
