Applications are invited for a Partnerships Officer on a permanent, full-time basis.

The key purpose of this post is to support the University's international student recruitment efforts through our network of global partners at all levels working as part of the International Office and driving a key function within the institution.


A significant focus will be placed in supporting engagement across the institution to address key recruitment objectives, and specifically, meet strong growth targets.

This post will support development of partnerships with key partners, funding bodies, schools, and partner institutions around the world. The individual will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders inside and outside the institution.

Significant overseas travel to meet partner institutions for relationship building will be an important aspect of this post.

Applications will also be considered to carry out this role on a part-time or job share basis.

Purpose of the Job


The key purpose of this post is to support the University's international student recruitment efforts at all levels working as part of the International Office and driving a key business function within the institution.

The role requires a confident, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to the future growth in international recruitment.

The individual will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders inside and outside the institution and meeting key recruitment targets as set by the Senior Partnerships Officer.

The post holder will assist in raising the profile of Bangor in the region and in delivering wider internationalisation activity.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Implement and maintain of agreements between Bangor University and its global partners as agreed by the Senior Partnerships Officer.
  • Assist with the promotion of recruitment possibilities to potential students.
  • Play a supporting role in partnership activities including assisting and deputising for the Senior Partnerships Officer as required.
  • Provide regular reporting on performance compared to targets.
  • Implement marketing under the guidance of the Senior Partnerships Officer.
  • Ensure appropriate and prompt follow up action is taken after overseas visits including follow up of enquiries, post event/analysis/written reports and analysis to support conversion and future planning.
  • Develop Innovative and creative ways to promote Bangor University
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Academic Schools and Colleges to achieve an integrated, effective, and targeted recruitment effort. This includes the design and delivery of promotional campaigns and communication plans targeting individual markets. This may periodically include accompanying academic staff internationally.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with organisations such as the British Council, Embassies, Funding Bodies, Ministries of Education, and other government departments / agencies to maintain successful recruitment channels and capitalise on opportunities to develop new channels.
  • Manage inbound visits to Bangor University from business partners, institutions, and prospective students.
  • Administering of necessary funding both to students and academics.
  • To support the Senior Partnerships Officer in the coordination and delivery of articulation and recruitment agreements.
  • To assist in providing advice and guidance to students about the University's offering from a recruitment and conversation activity perspective.
  • To provide administrative support for the Partnerships Office, including managing financial transactions and processes for staff and students, as well as academic processes such as partnership contracts.
  • To provide support and where necessary delivery of Bangor University English Language assessments both in the UK and overseas.
  • To provide support in assessing the suitability of students from partner institutions and more widely on meeting the entry criteria as outlined by Bangor University.
  • Undertake other duties as may be necessary or may be determined from time to time by the Senior Partnerships Officer and senior management.
  • To maintain a schedule of participants in the relevant programmes and identify key deadlines.
  • To keep up to date with relevant policies and to keep up to date with necessary funding programmes.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues, developing their capability such that each is able to contribute to the highest level e.g. student ambassadors.
