Here at Carshalton College, we are seeking a Senior Facilities Officer to assist the Facilities Management Team to maintain an attractive, safe, clean, and welcoming College as well as a calm purposeful learning environment.


You'll be the single point of contact for all requests for repairs, faults, and other maintenance requests from staff, ensuring that all faults are logged on the College helpdesk system.

You'll provide first line response to repairs requests covering non-plant equipment, fabric, plumbing, carpentry, and decorative repairs and maintain key inventories and stock, repairing/changing locks where necessary.

You'll also be undertaking weekly inspections of plant room, roofs, basement, boilers, pumps and tasks and report any defects to the Facilities Manager.


We're looking for someone who has experience of the operation and day-to-day first line maintenance of buildings, operating heating systems, security, and fire systems.

You'll hold a City & Guilds, NVQ or similar qualification in a relevant trade and be skilled in carpentry as well as painting and decorating.


We'd like you to be experienced in working with and overseeing contractors and be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines.

You'll have working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and procedures and be able to identify and implement improvements in existing procedures and systems.
