Page Personnel are appointing a Payroll and Benefits Officer to join our client for 12 months.You will need to be experienced with day-to-day payroll activities and deal with business as usual workload, while the team supports on a project.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the collation, checking and input of all information necessary for monthly payrolls
- Manage the processing of variable payments including overtime, occupational/statutory absence schemes and benefit memberships
- Manage expense system ensuring claims are correctly authorised
- Provide support and assistance in dealing with payroll queries
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of various payroll control accounts and coordinate year end payroll processing
- Coordinate provision of statutory returns to payroll including those to HMRC and company pension and benefit scheme
- Maintain current knowledge of HMRC pay legislation and keep abreast of continuing professional legislative and service developments in the field of Payroll, Pensions including employment, TAX, NI and salary sacrifice schemes
- Assist Manager with regular review and updated of payroll manual and procedures ensuring best practice
Profile
You will have a digital by default approach to all administration and processing activities, and identify opportunities of continuous improvement through the use of existing technology and systems.
Experience of administering statutory and occupational pay schemes and have effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills to communicate confidently at all levels.
Job Offer
Remote working - offices in Birmingham and Worcester for any on site meetings, or if you do wish to go into an office
