Key Account Manager

The Role:

The Key Account Manager will be our client's go to person for Main Contractors and Sub-Contractors who work with pre-cast concrete and façade solutions within commercial projects.

The Key Account Manager will be selling a rangeof lifting & fixing solutions for large projects across the UK. The specifications that will be worked on range from small £50k assignments through to £2m+ projects on prestigious buildings.

The sales cycle can be in excess of six months and requires a lotof relationship building, organisation, and technical competence to manage the projects through to completion.

The Key Account Manager will start out with c.20 accounts to manage and develop. These accounts will be close partnerships with Contractors who they work with regularly. The Key Account Manager will be driving activity from receiving the specification, tenderingfor the project, and winning the work.

The Key Account Manager will have support from an in-house Project Management Team of 4 people and their current conversion rate is as high as 40%.


The Key Account Manager position is a remote role, however you will be required to spend a number of days per week in their head office in Buckinghamshire in the first few months for training and inductions.

Our client are a well-established family run organisation who specialise in fixing solutions for the construction sector.

They design, manufacture, and engineer fixing solutions for a wide array of commercial projects and havea very dynamic leadership team who are looking to take the business to the next level.

They have some high-value partnerships with other well known manufacturers in the fixing sector so they can offer a much broader range of solutions for their clients.

Theyhave major expansion plans for the first quarter of 2023 and this role is intrinsic to that success.


We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a background in selling fixing & fastening solutions into commercial projects
  • Understand working on big projects with Main & Sub Contractors
  • Can read technical drawings
  • Full & Clean Driving licence
  • A background in converting specifications to sales with Contractors/End Users
  • Understanding of Main & Sub Contractor sales cycles and process

Salary:
£45,000 Basic Salary + £15k-20k Bonus (paid quarterly), Company Car Allowance (£400p/m), Pension, Laptop, Mobile, 25 days' holiday + stats
