Description

The job plan currently includes a Childrens Medical Unit (CMU) hot week (1 in 10) and a NICU hot week (1 in 10).

Clinic weeks include 3 general paediatric clinics. In each non-hot week (i.e. 8 out of 10 weeks) there is one zero day.


On calls include the following:
a) non-resident on call during the week, , during the summer months, b) about 1 evening every 2 weeks as Resident On Call 17:00-20:30 on site during winter months to support the busy times on the unit alongside middle grades and junior doctors., c) Resident for ward rounds on Saturdays or Sundays depending on hot weeks and then non-resident from next day. The weekend days/nights are split between the CMU and NICU hot week consultants. The timetable includes administration time and SPA activity. The SPA activity will also include consultant educational supervision for a trainee(s) and personal (e.g.
