*Hybrid working is available for this role*A great opportunity has become available for a Research Scientist with a Top Pharmaceutical company based in Surrey on a 12-month contract.


The company is looking for a professional to provide scientific expertise and effective project oversight to ensure the successful fulfilment of the real-world evidence (RWE) research agenda.

The knowledge of health outcomes disciplines, therapeutic area knowledge of neuroscience, understanding of drug development and commercialisation and geographic market knowledge is a key part of the role as well as research project ownership and execution.


General responsibilities range from developing and articulating product value propositions, patient reported outcomes strategies, real world evidence generation, and differentiating strategies using RWE research, all to accelerate equitable patient access.


As a Research Scientist, you will:

  • Develop and oversee RWE research strategy for compounds in the relevant therapeutic area(s)
  • Serve as a strategic partner on lead/core teams throughout development/ commercialisation and formulate and drive RWE for priority products and geographies
  • Develop high quality science for products across the lifecycle to influence and support evidence needs
  • Link technical expertise with business acumen and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external decision makers
  • Lead RWE planning and implementation in collaboration with crossfunctional teams
  • Effectively communicate health outcomes (HO) information
  • Drive research dissemination strategies and lead research communication efforts
  • Anticipate and evaluate future market needs and trends
  • Ensure RWE projects meet timelines, budget, and scope by coordinating research efforts

An ideal Research Scientist will:

  • Have a Doctorate (PhD, MD)
  • Have knowledge of pharmaceutical industry
  • Have experience in creating, executing, and delivering outcomes projects
  • Have the ability to translate and disseminate complex scientific information
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to influence and collaborate within and across teams
  • Understand healthcare systems in either Europe or Asia
  • Have knowledge and experience with healthcare delivery models and clinical research
  • Have technical and analytical capabilities in on or more of the following areas: economic modelling, economic evaluation, costeffectiveness evaluation, patient focused outcomes, RWE, burden of disease, epidemiology, statistics, healthcare policy
  • Demonstrate the ability to drive research agendas to completion and dissemination
  • Have experience with research project ownership and execution
