About us
The Housing Enforcement Team is responsible for upholding housing standards particularly in the private rented sector.

The team deals with complaints from tenants about their living accommodation and has a particular focus on the licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation.

Additionally, there are duties relating to statutory nuisance, filthy and verminous premises and problem empty properties.


About the role

Pay Details:
Grade 5 £22,777 to £24,496 p.a.

Hours of Work /
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week

Monday to Friday Main Place of Work: Cardiff, County Hall

About you You will need**:


  • Experience in providing customer advice and responding to customer enquiries.
  • The ability to develop a good understanding of HMO licensing rules, regulations and procedures, which can be complex.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with businesses and members of the public orally and in writing.
  • The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • To be IT literate and proficient in Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • 5 GCSE or equivalent, with Maths and English being desirable
