Job Description Summary:
The Lead Lean Specialist will coach, drive, and lead lean behaviours by partnering with production area leadership. They will ensure improvement activity focuses on directly impacting SQDC.

They will promote a culture of improvement, balancing the challenging the status quo with a deep understanding of ''what good looks like'' in the current environment.


Essential Functions (Responsibilities):


  • Lead and execute Lean Transformation within a specific Gate.
  • Coach Lean Principles and Tools (5S, VSM, Pull) to all levels of the team.
  • Identify and facilitate Kaizen Events that will directly impact SQDC and KPI's
  • Participate in the Daily Shop management processes within a specific Gate (DSM board process and Genba walks).
  • Coach teams to Problem Solve in a systematic way using a Lean mindset.
  • Develop and maintain the value stream mapping process within a specific Gate to identify constraints and focus on the elimination of the waste.
  • Be an advocate of Lean Principles & Tool to the wider site.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others within a team environment
  • Experience with Lean Transformation, Principles & Tools
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Demonstrate ability as a change agent and of influencing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Results orientation and record of achieving performance objectives
