The Role:


As a Trading Standards Officer you'll hit the ground running, taking on a broad portfolio and connecting with a wide range of people and businesses.

Your responsibilities will include managing your casework, dealing with consumer complaints, the provision of business advice, undertaking complex investigations and maintaining knowledge of trading standards matters.


The team has a small Primary Authority portfolio, you will be expected to provide advice to the businesses, and new businesses as required.


You will work as part of a small and dedicated team covering compliance issues for commercial businesses and residents, as part of a wider consumer protection delivery agenda and Council objectives.
