• Conduct puppy and adult/adolescent training sessions with dogs and their owners
• Be independent and able to run the classes on your own.
• Develop and implement training programs
• Teach obedience commands
• Teach more advanced skills
• Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
• Provide progress reports to dog owners
• Assist with socialization training for puppies and adult dogs
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs during training sessions
• Maintain training equipment and keep training areas clean and organized

• Certification from a reputable dog training program or certification organization preferred
• Previous experience working as a professional dog trainer
• Knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their dogs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Physical ability to handle and train dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

• All clients at our daycare who need one to one training will be referred to the trainer if you are a freelance trainer this is a great opportunity to gain more clients.
