Description

We are seeking an intuitive, rigorous and hands-on senior programme manager to lead a critical programme of work for a global satellite company at the forefront of maritime, aviation, government and enterprise communications.

In short, this programme willreshape the essential infrastructure of this company.


You'll be sited in the Commercial and Product Division, at the helm of deploying the company's network in a new way, using cutting-edge technology.

This will open the door to a variety of commercial opportunities, all clearly envisaged from a product perspective,yet the route to achieving this shift in deployment is still to be defined.

The complex, ever developing and challenging job of figuring this out and achieving first stage delivery by the end of 2023 is yours to solve.

It will require vision, sophistication and a great deal of hands-on work as you draw together divisions from every corner of the business - networking, provisioning, billing, commercial pricing and marketing - whilst working across multiple business units
- maritime, aviation and government.


We need you to:

  • Be a completerfinisher
  • Cut through complexity to offer clear direction, planning and messaging
  • Have high emotional intelligence to navigate the trade offs required to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Be consultative by nature yet willing to be handson and rigorous to ensure follow through, pace and ontime delivery


A strong understanding of product development, a love of technology, strong change management experience, a good sense of humour and loads of initiative will also help.


Essential

  • Senior level programme management experience spanning technology sectors in a variety of global settings from inception to completion
  • Excellent teambuilding and motivating skills able to create a sense of community and shared direction amongst programme and functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of programme and project methods (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Six Sigma etc) and agile delivery methodologies (Scrum SAFe, DSDM etc)
  • Advanced problemsolving capability involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose complex project issues; translating findings into alternatives and solutions; andidentifying risks and impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate leaders' decisionmaking
  • A true passion for pragmatic programme management and its worth

Desirable

  • Experience of networking technologies or communications would be beneficial, but not essential.
