Our manufacturing arm, Ortho Europe, established in 1990, is a major European manufacturer and distributor of prosthetic and orthotic products. Headquartered in the UK, we also have offices in France and the Netherlands and distributors across Europe.

We are seeking a Production Technician to join our team in Birmingham, where our site specializes in the manufacture of footwear, insoles, and the repairs and adaptations of footwear. Our goal is to promote independence and quality of life by providing robust, innovative, and effective devices to people who need mobility support.

Job Role Summary

We are currently seeking a Production Technician who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic team. Experience in orthotic manufacturing will be advantageous, however, we will consider general manufacturing skills as training will be given.

Key Responsibilities:

To comply with required health and safety standards as outlined by local site policy.
To ensure that the department is kept to acceptable standards of housekeeping.
To prepare and assemble/build orthoses as required by clinical specifications.
To work to the required standard lead times against the works order.
To deliver right first-time Orthotics.
Prepare and maintain production and inspection records, signing off all jobs once completed within your specified manufacturing process.
To play an active role in any improvement projects within your department.
Inform Team Leader of any production/delivery discrepancies.

Qualifications:

GCSE Level Maths and English or alternative apprentice qualification.
