Professional Technology Officer - NI Civil Service

CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Professional Technology Officer (PTO Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract of 12 months, with possibility of extension.


  • Pay Rate £14.92 per/hr

  • DfI, Transport and Road Asset Management / Parking Enforcement Management Unit
  • Benefits 37 days holiday per annum
  • Hours 37 hours per week

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the performance of the Enforcement Contractor (NSL) in their area by running and reviewing reports on their performance.
  • To investigate and respond to operational parking enforcement matters from members of the public in their area.
  • Onsite inspections / surveys as required to support the Penalty Processing Unit respond to a parking ticket challenge.
  • To liaise and collaborate with the local Roads Division on the installation of new parking measures / amendments to existing measures.
  • Attending meetings and assisting management as required.
  • Handling phone calls from the public on operational matters.
Essential Experience/Qualifications

  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Experience of using MS Office suite esp. Word and Excel.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Running reports from computer systems.
  • Producing work to deadlines.
  • Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to permit them to carry out their duties.
Desired Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in Traffic Management.
  • Working with a Contractor.
  • Being able to work and learn independently.
  • Knowledge of the work of DfI Roads.

Salary:
Up to £14.92 per hour
