To work autonomously as a specialist craftsperson in area of expertise, planning and responding to Planned Preventive Maintenance and emergency calls.


The post requires frequent concentration to diagnose faults and the adaptability to respond to frequent interruptions and deal with unplanned maintenance issues.

To take responsibility for diagnostic fault finding, problem solving and repair
and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment. To undertake
servicing and installation of equipment and systems within the Trust and in
other properties maintained by the Maintenance Department as directed.

Partake in the installation of services through small or capital works
programmes


To set out new work or set up new production appropriate to his/her original trade using relevant instruments and machinery without supervision.

This may include the manufacture, assembly, erection and installation of new work using own initiative, experience and judgement. Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to their trade without supervision.
