Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Permanent

Competitive salary, 23 holiday days, pension contribution

Continental shift pattern (6pm - 6am)

Birmingham

We are working with our clients based in Birmingham who are a global manufacturing company. They operate on a global scale and supply to various engineering and manufacturing markets including Automotive, Industrial and Solar. They are looking for aMulti-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

  • Respond to production breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Proactively manage independent workload through Maintenance smart phone app
  • Identify and solve the rootcause problems to provide longterm solutions
  • Make customer service your focus, communicate, support and educate
  • Record all modifications made to equipment to ensure documentation is accurate at all times
  • Observe and communicate any required improvements on production machinery
  • Complete TPM activities on machinery as required
  • Carry out basic site maintenance tasks to support Machinery installations
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


  • NVQ Level 2 OR 3 in relevant Mechanical, Electrical or Maintenance biased qualification
  • Experience in maintaining industrial equipment
  • Knowledge/experience of maintaining industrial hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Capable of reading and working to engineering/electrical drawings
  • Knowledge/experience of fault finding on PLC and control systems

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


  • Up to date with latest electrical wiring regulations
  • Ability to drive a fork lift truck (training can be provided)
  • Ability to operate a MEWP
  • Working knowledge of power presses along with press regs course
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes and lift safely
