Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Head of Adult Social Care Operations for Staffordshire Council.


Job Purpose
Main Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership and management oversight of adult social care teams covering:
  • Adults with Learning Disabilities
  • Older People
  • Adults with physical disabilities
  • Adults with sensory needs
  • Adults with mental health needs
  • Leading quality and performance improvement within the service
  • Promoting and ensuring the quality of strength based practice and service delivery as a whole, ensuring that there is continuous improvement
  • Managing and prioritising resource capacity and competing operational demands to ensure safe and quality services across the teams
  • Representing the adult social care service at partnership senior leadership meetings, and ensuring that risks and issues are escalated and success is highlighted
  • Acting as the point of escalation for incidents and complaints; being innovative and finding practical solutions to problems
  • Budget management both within the service and contributing to the wider Health and Care budget through decision making and savings plans
  • Professional leadership to our unplanned care/discharge to assess teams
  • As the strategic lead for ASC operations: identifying and recommending opportunities to develop and shape our strategy for adult social care services in the future.
  • Be a qualified social worker with significant experience working with adults and of leading social work teams
  • Be comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
  • Have excellent leadership skills which inspire and support both your management team and their teams
  • Be able to evidence a good track record of excellent performance and quality management
  • Have excellent partnership working skills and be comfortable working within both an NHS and local authority environment
- have a focus upon solutions and innovation to resolve issues and also support the development of the service into the future


Whilst much of the role can be delivered remotely, there will be some requirement to work with teams across the region of Staffordshire.


You will need to be:


  • SWE registered
