Job description:
- The School of Arts, English and Languages (AEL) at Queen's University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a skilled Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Media and Broadcast to join the Media and Broadcast Production team for the BA Media and Broadcast Production and MA Media and Broadcast Production programs.
- Responsibilities include conducting research aligned with the School's strategy, teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and contributing to School administration/outreach activities.
- The ideal candidate should hold a PhD (or near completion) in audiovisual, media, or broadcast studies, or equivalent qualifications like an MFA.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering audiovisual media content in academic and/or industry settings.
- Strong track record of publication and/or research in broadcast and/or media production.
- Active research involvement in a relevant field of media, broadcast, television, or communications studies.
- Teaching background at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in media/broadcast-related subjects.
- Expertise in teaching fundamental media production skills such as scripting, interviewing, camera operation, lighting, sound recording, on-location filming, TV studio work, editing, and postproduction.
