The Finance Officer - Income is a broad and varied role working across multiple systems, to manage income streams including donations, lottery and sponsorship.
The role supports and assists the Finance Manager ensuring Charity income is received, recorded and reported accurately alongside other day to day finance duties and providing support, where appropriate, to the general running of the Charity office.

v To maintain records, reconcile and process donors' direct debit donations
v To maintain records, reconcile and process donors' regular donations
v To work with the Admin team to monitor the charities bank accounts and allocation of income to donors ensuring data is accurately recorded
v To maintain records and reconcile other online income
v To ensure all income on the charities bank accounts are accurately reflected in the Charity's General Ledger and Donor systems
v To raise sales invoices primarily for corporate sponsorship and to manage credit control for these invoices
v To provide regular and ad hoc income reports to Charity staff
v To maintain lottery income records including the collection of income, accurate reporting of income in the Trading subsidiary and in the Donor database
v To complete and submit the charities annual and monthly Gambling Commission returns
v To allocate charity income to Fundraising departments
v To support the Finance Manager in preparation of the monthly management accounts
v To respond to accounts and financial queries from staff and volunteers
v To provide cover in the absence of other Finance staff
v To support the annual audit process
v Provide input into financial policies, procedures and finance handbook including process documentation
v To undertake any other duties given by the Finance Manager and the Director of Finance
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Essential:
v Experience of working within a Finance function and managing income
v Formal accounting training up to AAT (or equivalent)
v Can manage a number of tasks simultaneously and maintain excellent attention to detail whilst working to strict deadlines
v Methodical approach to work
v IT literate with strong Excel and Word skills
v An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
v Ability to effectively manage your time and to work as part of a team
v Takes a hands-on approach
v A proactive approach to change
v Ability to meet all reporting deadlines
v Possess good analytical skills
v GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above in Maths and English
v Positive and determined
Desirable:
v Knowledge of Sage 200
v Experience of working on a Donor management system
v Previous finance experience in a Charity or not for profit organisation
v Sales Ledger experience
Job Types:

Salary:
£23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
