BACKGROUND
Springhead Health is a large GMS Practice, serving approximately 22,300 patients in Northfleet, Kent. Our team consists of GPs, ANPs, Physician Associates, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Nurses, HCAs and support staff.


We adopt a team approach to patient care and endeavour to monitor the service provided to patients, to ensure that it meets current standards of excellence.


We occupy a purpose-built, modern building with excellent road and rail links, and a nearby high-speed train service into St Pancras London.

We are currently using EMIS Web clinical system.

We welcome informal inquiries and visits to the Practice.


JOB OVERVIEW


We have an opportunity for a motivated and well organised business manager to join us on our journey towards achieving the best possible standards for our patients.


The business manager will manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance, ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effectiveworking environment.

Through innovative ways of working, lead the team in promoting ED&I, SHEF, Quality & CI, Confidentiality, Collaborative Working, Service Delivery, Learning and Development and ensure the practice complies with CQC regulations.


Areas of main responsibility:

  • Overseeing the daytoday operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities
  • Maintaining an effective liaison with the accountant, overseeing practice accounts, ensuring yearend figures are presented
  • Briefing directors on all financial matters, including forecasting
  • Developing, implementing and embedding an efficient business resilience plan (BRP)
  • Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives; coordinating all projects within the practice
  • Coordinating and leading the compilation of practice reports and the practice development plan (PDP)
  • Ensuring the team reach QOF targets (supported by the nursing and administrative leads)
  • Adopting a strategic approach to the management of all patient services matters
  • Developing, implementing and embedding an effective communication strategy (internal and external)
  • Ensuring the practice maintains compliance with its NHS contractual obligations
  • Liaising at external meetings as required
  • Marketing the practice appropriately
  • Deputise for the directors at internal and external meetings
  • Act as the primary point of contact for NHS(E), CCG, community services, suppliers and other external stakeholders
