Valeter/ Yard Workers (Dumfries Depot & Bispham Green Depot)

In this varied and hands‑on role, you'll help ensure our machinery, vehicles, and yards are maintained to a high standard. Working closely with our sales and service teams, you'll play a vital part in presenting machinery professionally, keeping the depot organised, and supporting day‑to‑day operational tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and detailing agricultural and industrial machines to a high standard.
• Preparing machines and company vehicles for demonstrations or hire, including cleaning and fluid checks.
• Loading and unloading of machinery safely and general yard duties.
• Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing machinery, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
• Delivery and collection of customer and new machines.
• Ensuring the yard areas are clean, tidy and well organised.
• Assist with additional tasks to support smooth operations.

Attributes we are looking for:

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
• Ability to operate machinery safely (training can be provided).
• High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team whilst adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Full driving licence is essential; trailer/forklift licence is an advantage.

Job Type & Hours:

• Full Time. Permanent.
• Monday – Friday. 8am – 4:30pm

• Bispham Green Depot (L40 3SB) & Dumfries Depot (DG1 3UB). The vacancy at Dumfries also covers our Carlisle Depot (CA1 2UR).
