We are currently hiring for an Explosives Supervisor, based at our Dowlow Quarry, Buxton

Key Responsibilities:

It is essential that you demonstrate a strong attitude to health and safety and a sound understanding of shot firing operations

The role will involve face profiling, marking out shots, designing the blast specification, safe transfer and storage of explosives. You will also be responsible for ensuring the charging and firing of production shots and liaising with the driller

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

You will also ideally be working towards or have gained their NVQ level 3 in shot firing, MPQC shot firing/explosives supervision card.

Although not essential, it would benefit to have quarry passports and tickets for: 50T loading shovels, and 40T articulated dumpers.
