    Situated in Watford, Hertfordshire, this position offers a chance to join a leading mid-market private equity firm as a Junior Associate.

    Job Description

    This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious, analytically strong candidates to play a core role across the full deal lifecycle — from sourcing and execution to portfolio strategy and exit planning.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support deal teams through origination, execution, and portfolio management.
    • Build sophisticated financial models (including LBOs) and conduct valuation analyses.
    • Drive industry and company research to support investment theses.
    • Assist in preparing investment committee papers and strategic board materials.
    • Participate in commercial, financial, and operational due diligence.
    • Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and support value creation efforts.
    • Liaise with advisers and contribute to cross-functional deal workstreams.

    Requirements

    • 2–4 years' experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, transaction services, or private equity.
    • Excellent academic background with a degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a quantitative field.
    • Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
    • Commercially astute, intellectually curious, and comfortable in lean, fast-paced teams.
    • Strong written and verbal communicator, confident producing board-level materials.
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and genuine interest in long-term value creation.
