If so, you can help West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service by designing and delivering diversity and inclusion projects, initiatives and campaigns while overseeing processes that contribute to our diversity and inclusion strategy.


You will:

  • Design and deliver diversity and inclusion projects.
  • Identify data trends to support the design of learning / awareness programmes and deliver training.
  • Provide advice on diversity and inclusion issues to employees and managers.
  • Contribute to improving the Authorities performance with regard to the Equality Standard for Local Government.
  • Facilitate, monitor and provide training on the Equality Impact Assessment process and support staff and managers to embed diversity and inclusion into all areas of the organisation.
  • Work closely with internal and external staff networks, providing advice on best practice and supporting campaigns.

You will need:

significant Project Support experience, including demonstrable experience of engaging with stakeholders and others; experience of identification, analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data, including translating data to make it easy to understand by non-specialists; experience of Equality legislation and be able to provide confidential advice and guidance on diversity and inclusion issues.

Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you'll work both in the office and from home as part of our 'hybrid' working model.
