Description
The Medical Equipment Library (MEL) Supervisor will lead, direct and manage the medical equipment library service across the organisation.

The post holder will work with trust staff and linked providers and be responsible for all aspects of medical equipment library service ensuring delivery of services in line with clinical requirements whilst achieving high quality and positive outcomes for service users.


  • Provide assistance and guidance to nursing and other staff in use of medical devices
  • Confirm the information content and integrity of the equipment infrastructure.
  • Provide web based access to services such as equipment requests, equipment search facility, policies and procedures
  • Participate in the procurement of the medical equipping programme
  • General administrative support for the Clinical Technical Services
  • To operate Trust Governance systems relating to Medical Devices and the Department
  • Departmental ordering, accounting & data entry systems
  • The post holder is responsible for the performance and quality of the above services.
