Business Services Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has an opportunity for a commercially focussed, tenacious Interim Senior Financial Analyst to undertake responsibility for the variance analysis and consolidation reporting forspecific divisions withinthe Group to support effective financial decision making for a period of 6 months.


What will the Interim Senior Finance Analyst role involve?
Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, the key responsibilities of the Interim Senior Finance Analyst will include:

  • Lead the reporting for specific sectors through working closely with the business facing finance teams and gaining a thorough understanding of the individual contracts within each division;
  • Ensure that periodic reporting is accurate and delivered on a timely basis;
  • Production of detailed variance analysis and associated commentary including attending review meetings to present findings;
  • Development of effective financial models to support
- effective analysis of performance;

  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of effective controls and reports to support the continual improvement in the standard of reports and analysis presented to the wider business.
  • Applicants for the Senior Financial Analyst position will hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of working within a similar role in a large, complex business and proven technical finance skills;
  • Strong experience of building effective relationships with both other key finance stakeholders and the wider leadership team within a business will be essential as will the ability to implement effective change to reporting and analytical processes as andwhen required.

Additional benefits and information for the position of
Interim Senior Finance Analyst:

  • The role is predominantly home based but the successful applicant will be expected to attend either the Portsmouth or London office to enable the development of the team culture and support the wider business ideally 1 to 2 days a week.
