Description

Job Purpose
To oversee a maintenance schedule monthly, fix/service or repair any plant and transport that may require attention.

Responsibilities:

To repair and maintain all plant equipment over 3 counties, to attend call-outs and schedule maintenance arrangements. Repair as necessary all transport damage if applicable and able. To liase with the transport team weekly for admin purposes.

Technical Specification

Experience Required

Good working knowledge of plant related mechanics
Able to assess vehicle issues and repair if necessary
Preventative maintenance
Welding activities when necessary
Dealing with breakdowns, unplanned problems, and repairs
Check functionality of safety systems
Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly
Experience in repairing/maintaining any industrial machinery
Basic knowledge of electrical systems represents an advantage, but not essential
Welding skills
Fault find skills+
Good problemsolving

Essential Qualifications

A valid driving licence

Desirable Qualifications

Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served
Sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
